ओंकारेश्वर……………चलो एक बार फिर से.

शाम करीब ७ बजे हम लोग औंकारेश्वर पहुंच गये। औंकारेश्वर में ठहरने के लिये हमेशा हमारी पहली प्राथमिकता होती है श्री गजानन महाराज संस्थान यात्री निवास, तो हमने सीधी राह पकड़ी संस्थान की और कुछ ही देर में हम संस्थान के सामने खड़े थे।

स्वागत कक्ष पर कुछ जरूरी औपचारीकतायें पुर्ण करने के बाद हमें हमारे कमरे की चाबी मिल गई। हमारा कमरा यात्री निवास नंबर ४ में था. अब चुंकी बहुत जोरों की भुख लगी थी अत:निर्णय लिया गया की सबसे पहले भोजन किया जाये। यहां यह बता देना सही रहेगा की श्री गजानन महाराज संस्थान के हर यात्री निवास में किफ़ायती दर पर भोजन की व्यवस्था होती है, चुंकी हम पहले भी श्री गजानन संस्थान (शेगांव) में रह चुके थे तथा भोजन भी कर चुके थे और वहां हमें भोजन बहुत पसंद आया था अत: हमने आज भी भोजन यहीं भोजनालय में करने का निश्चय किया और चल पड़े भोजनालय की ओर।

खाना सचमुच बड़ा स्वादिष्ट था, ३० रु. में थाली जिसमें दो सब्जी, रोटी, दाल, चावल तथा एक मिष्ठान्न के रुप में हलुवा……शुद्ध सात्वीक भोजन और हमें क्या चाहिये था? सो भरपेट करने के बाद हम लोग अपने रुम में आकर थोड़ी देर के लिये लेट गये। अब हमें ओंकारेश्वर मंदिर में शयन आरती में शामिल होना था जो की रात नौ बजे शुरु होती है. इस समय साढे आठ बज रहे थे और यही समय था शयन आरती के लिये निकलने का, अत: हम लोग मन्दीर जाने के लिये तैयार होने लगे.

चुंकि वातावरण में बहुत ठंडक थी अत: बच्चे तो इस समय बाहर निकलने में आनाकानी कर रहे थे लेकिन उन्हें हमने चलने के लिये मना ही लिया और अन्तत: हम लोग उनी कपड़े वगैरह पहनकर अपने रुम से बाहर निकल गये। बाहर सचमुच बहुत ठंड थी और हमें तो नर्मदा नदी पर बने झुला पूल से होकर ओंकारेश्वर मन्दीर की ओर जाना था जहां और ज्यादा ठंड लगने की संभावना थी।

Cochin – Sightseeing by cruise and Cherai Beach

As weather was hot, this ride was giving us good relief from heat. For first 15-20 minutes it was just like a normal cruise experience similar to Mumbai Gateway of India cruise ride or cruise ride at Rameswaram. But we were happy as kids were enjoying this ride with lots of space to sit as well as to run inside the boat and to see sparkling water.On our way we got to see many boats like country type, Russian yacht etc.

Although, it was a pleasant journey but I didn’t find it worth or it’s not value for money. Boat sailor but surely took us at the midst of sea and we saw numbers of Dolphin fish. Watching Kochi Harbour, Bolgatty island resort and Dolphin were good experience. Chinese Fishing net is an icon for Kochi but I didn’t find anything interesting watching that. The total time we spent here was 02 hours and we found it tiring. We came back to Marine Drive. Marine drive is a nice hangout place with many eatery joints.We had some light lunch and icecreams and came back to our friends place at 1730 hrs.

A trip to Mewar, Raj – Pushkar and Jaipur

A small and picterusque town famous for one and onky temple of Brahma Ji, the town is also famous for the foreigners coming to the time to learn Yoga and instrumental music in the streets of Pushkar and numerous cafes adorning the streets. I can vouch for only temple perhaps my main motive was that only so I did,nt bother to look out for the guests from abroad or cafes. After inquiring my way to the temple of Brahma Ji, I straight away drove in that direction until I reached the place where Ghats were located. I thought may be temple is located in the centre of the sarovar there. So we all went towards the Ghat area and the thing that I  wanted to avoid at all costs followed us , hounding by various priests(pandas to have one or other form of puja for salvation of soul. As a person I m dead against these things as it seems to me more as an economic activity of these priests, nothing more(my personal opinion). Many persons were involved there in one or other ceremonies per their beliefs. But I did,nt want to listen to these priests about all this. One priest said “Unless you take bath in these Ghats and perform a puja your visit to Brahma temple would be incomplete” Why so? I just asked myself. After enquiring again about the temple from a family , we came to know that it was just on the next end of the street. I just pulled my family members from there hearing this. While walking towards the temple, in one corner , there was a small shop(PANDIT JI KI LASSI). Iski story baad mein bataoonga.

Chennai Temples

It is a very beautiful temple with numerous fixed glass windows permitting maximum sunlight thus saving lot of energy. All windows are nicely painted with mythological pictures. Beautiful wall painting, pillars and a huge darshan hall makes this temple very attractive. I really like the wooden doors of the enclosures where deities reside. It is a huge wooden door with beautiful carvings. Every Sunday , a special programme is held in this temple which includes bhajan, Bhagwat Gita course, Aarti and at 1315 hrs lunch Prasadam for everyone.

A trip to Mewar – Karni Mandir, Ekling Ji and Sukhadia circle

It was about 3 p.m that we exited from ahar museum and decided to go to Ekling ji which is situated on Udaipur-Ajmer highway before the historical Nathdwara town. When I was on my way to Ekling Ji just after 7-8 kms it resembled as Iwas driving in some hilly state(hills on one side and deep gorges on other side was the scenic view. So it was now only 2nd and 3rd gear for me. Frankly I didn’t expect such a terrain in Rajasthan. We as a unit were awed by the beauty this stte was offering. When we reached EKLING JI, the temple was closed and it was full one hour foe the gates to open. We paid our obescience from outside only and vrooom back to Udaipur. I would like to mention here that the temle is under maharan mewar trust and security guards posted there also bore badges of mewar security. Historically it is said that Bappa Rawal, founder of Mewarkingdom got blessings at this place only from god Ekling Ji to esrtablish the mewar empire.

SUKHADIA CIRCLE
It was fourth day in Udaipur and now it looke like this was my own city. I  felt so attachment with this city.Clean roads, sensible traffic sense, good ambience and culturally strong, this city had just cast its spell on us. I don,t know which route I took but that route took us straight to Sukhadia circle which looked like a min picnic cum entertainment spot. More than me, Bhakti and Pavani were happy on reaching there. The spot which excited Bhakti and me was a large common place with about 30 shops under one roof filled with street food and fodies we are though I try to control this urge(plz insert 20). And the square (Sukhadia circle) was in form of a very small lake (gol-gol) with small boats in the shape of ducks in it(that excited little daughter, Pavani). I think the place got its name from Mohan Lal Sukhadia Ji, if I am right or someone kindly correct me.Agenda at Sukhadia circle:

My visit to Dwarka and Somnath

You need to take a engine boat which will take you across the sea.Bet dwarka is most important religious place and as belived that shri krishna meet his friend sudama here.After visited bet dwarka we just left for nageshwar jyotirling.

We came back from bet dwarka and nageshwar at 3 and then we took a nap for some time. And then set out on foot for sight scene near the city I forgot the name of the temple situated near dwarka city but you can get information about temples and sight scene from the hotels and local citizens and Autorikshwalas.

Chhatikara Maa Vaishno Devi छटीकरा माँ वैष्णोदेवी मन्दिर

दाँई ओर छटीकरा मुड़ते ही कुछ फासले पर ही, दाँई तरफ क्रुद्ध शेर पर सौम्य देवी माँ की विशाल मूर्ति का दर्शन होता है, पास ही हाथ जोड़े ध्यानमग्न हनुमानजी बैठे हैं। यह माँ वैष्णोदेवी का नवनिर्मित विशाल मन्दिर हैं। मन्दिर की तरफ कुछ हटकर हलकी सी छाँह में गाड़ी पार्क की। चार बजे गेट खुलने में दसेक मिनट की देर थी और भीड़ खड़ी थी। बोर्ड पर जूतों को जमा करने के विषय में पढ हमने जूतों को कार में खोल दिया। गेट खुलने पर संगीता व खुशी महिला द्वार से अन्दर चले गये। पुरुष लाईन चेकिंग में बेल्ट पर ऐतराज होने से मैने उसे खोल दिया परंतु पर्स पर भी ऐतराज पाने पर मैं बेल्ट बाँधते हुये लौट पड़ा कि दर्शन तो हो ही गये हैं, वृन्दावन भी जाना है, संगीता के लौटते ही रवाना हो जायेंगें, विचार करते हुये ऑफिस-काउण्टरों के सामने खड़ा हो गया जहां दर्शनार्थियों के लिये कम्प्युटराइज्ड स्लिपें जारी की जा रही थीं। इनके आधार पर ही सामने स्थित लॉकरों पर सामान जमा किया जाता है। खाली काउंण्टर देख मैने अपने नाम से स्लिप ले ली। लॉकर काउण्टर पर सुझाव मिला कि मैं पर्स सामग्री को जेब में रख पर्स व बेल्ट जमा करवा दूँ। अनदेखी आज्ञावश जमा करने का कार्य किया। अन्दर हरियाली में कुछ उपर जाने पर सामने नीचे चौक में उतरने के लिये सीढियाँ थीं जहां एक तरफ गंगाजी की मूर्ति जिसके दोनों तरफ मगरमच्छों के मुँह से पानी की धार तथा दूसरी तरफ यमुनाजी जिनके दोनों तरफ कछुओं के मुँह से पानी की धार बह रही थी, वहाँ खुशी मेरा इंतजार कर रही थी और मुझे देखते ही खुशी से चिल्लाई कि नानू देखो… उसकी खुशी व उत्साह का कोई पारावार न था। बच्चों के लिये यह मन्दिर प्रांगण वास्तव में बहुत ही खुशी देनेवाला व उत्साहवर्धक है।

हम लोग करीब नो बजे कटरा से १७ किलोमीटर का सफर तय करके बाबा धनसर पहुँच जाते हैं. सड़क से करीब २०० मीटर  पैदल उतराई करके हम लोग बाबा धनसर के धाम पहुँच जाते हैं. यह क्षेत्र बहुत ही सुरम्य स्थान पर पहाडियों के बीच जंगल से घिरा हुआ हैं. एक छोटी सी झील हैं जिसमे एक झरना लगातार गिरता रहता हैं. एक और एक गुफा बनी हुई हैं जिसमे शिव लिंगम के रूप में भगवान शिव विराजमान हैं. झील में कहा जाता हैं की साक्षात् शेषनाग वासुकी विराज मान हैं. यंही पर ही उनका एक मंदिर भी बना हुआ हैं.पौरौनिक विश्वास हैं की जब भगवान शिव, माता पार्वती के साथ, उन्हें अमर कथा सुनाने के लिए अमरनाथ  जी की गुफा की और जा रहे थे, तब भगवान शिव ने अपने नागराज वासुकी को यंही पर छोड़ दिया था. नागराज वासुकी एक मनुष्य के रूप में यंही पर रहने लगे थे. उनका नाम वासुदेव था. बाबा धनसर इन्ही वासुदेव के पुत्र थे. कंही से एक राक्षस यंहा पर आ गया था. और इस क्षेत्र के लोगो को परेशान करने लगा था. तब बाबा धनसर ने भगवान शिव की तपस्या की थी. भगवान शिव ने उनकी तपस्या से प्रसन्न होकर यंहा पर उस राक्षस का संहार किया था. बाबा के आग्रह पर भगवान शिव यंही पर विराजमान हो गए थे. यंहा पर स्थित झील पवित्र मानी जाती हैं. एक  झरना लगातार प्रवाहित होता रहता हैं. इस झील में नहाना शुभ नहीं माना जाता हैं. कभी कभी इस झील के स्वच्छ जल में नागों की आकृति भी दिखाई देती हैं. हर वर्ष यंहा पर, महाशिवरात्रि के अवसर पर भगवान शिव और धनसर बाबा की याद में एक वार्षिक महोत्सव व मेले का आयोजन होता हैं .

Shimla – Kufri – Jakhu Temple and Back Journey

Early morning at around 6 o’ clock, when rest of the family members were still asleep, I attended to daily routine and then decided (as usual) to wander and acquint myself a bit with the geography of Shimla. The first important thing I discovered was the fact that you didn’t need to go through the Victory tunnel to reach other side of the town. The tunnel is for automobiles only (but you won’t get fined if you do venture into it). Even if you walk towards the Bus Stand, you would find lanes at your left side with very stiff heights to scale, which promise to leave you at other side of the hill i.e. Mall Road side. However, without going to the Mall Road side, I walked roughly 1 km. in the opposite direction of the railway station and discovered that I had reached Bus Stand. Well, I was as happy at my discovery as Vasco-de-gama must have been after discovering Bharat Varsh aka India! Regarding it enough achievement for the time being, I made a U-turn and arrived at the hotel. Since I didn’t find any group of pahadi girls singing as I often see in Hindi movies, I had to hum a song myself and that too without any tabla or dholak (no it was not Abida Parveen this time but someone else which I don’t remember! ) First rays of the Sun peeped into the room and blessed us with very exhilerating and invigorating feeling. Technically, these were not first rays of the Sun because when the Sun ascended high enough in the sky to defeat the hills and throw its rays directly into our room, our watch was already showing 8 a.m.
