ऋतू का आगमन यूँ तो प्रत्येक वर्ष ही होता है, जिसके फलस्वरूप अक्सर हम सभी फिर से वापिस अपने बचपन की उन यादों को जी लेते हैं जिनमे सिवाय मौज-मस्ती और सैर-सपाटा के कुछ नहीं होता था। लगभग पूरे दो महीने तक स्कूल की छुट्टी और चारो तरफ बच्चों का शोरगुल आरम्भ। सांप-सीढ़ी, कैरम-बोर्ड, पकड़म पकड़ाई, खो-खो, कबड्डी, पहला-दुग्गो आदि जैसे खेलों को खेलते हुए दिन कैसे बीत जाते थे कुछ पता ही नहीं चलता था।

As some of my colleagues have their respective shifts so it was the better option to start the trip from office. So we started it at around 10:30 pm and took some snacks and juices with us as it is going to be a long and tiring journey specially after office hours. Driving through Rishikesh in darkness, we could not see much except the twinkling diyas after Arti on the banks of Ganga. Though it was pitch dark, it was impossible to miss well lit billboard of the Bull’s Retreat ahead of Shivpuri village and we were warmly greeted by courteous Mohinder and staff of Retreat who shifted quickly our baggage to two rooms alloted to us.
