श्री बद्रीधाम की अविस्मरणीय यात्रा। (भाग – 2)

मेरे घुमक्कड़ सदस्यों, पिछले भाग में मैंने आपके साथ अपनी दिल्ली से कीर्तिनगर तक की यात्रा के खट्टे मीठे अनुभव साँझा किये थे, ठीक उसी प्रकार अब हम अपनी कीर्तिनगर से श्री बद्रीधाम तक की यात्रा को आगे बढ़ाते हैं। तो दिनांक छब्बीस जून दो हजार अठारह को प्रातः नौ बजे नाश्ता करने के बाद हम लोगों ने अपना सामान उठाया और रिवरसाइड रिसोर्ट को अलविदा कहते हुए अपने ड्राइवर साब से गाड़ी श्री बद्रीधाम की तरफ बढ़ाने को कहा।

ऋतू का आगमन यूँ तो प्रत्येक वर्ष ही होता है, जिसके फलस्वरूप अक्सर हम सभी फिर से वापिस अपने बचपन की उन यादों को जी लेते हैं जिनमे सिवाय मौज-मस्ती और सैर-सपाटा के कुछ नहीं होता था। लगभग पूरे दो महीने तक स्कूल की छुट्टी और चारो तरफ बच्चों का शोरगुल आरम्भ। सांप-सीढ़ी, कैरम-बोर्ड, पकड़म पकड़ाई, खो-खो, कबड्डी, पहला-दुग्गो आदि जैसे खेलों को खेलते हुए दिन कैसे बीत जाते थे कुछ पता ही नहीं चलता था।

Harish and I was chatting over tea in office cafeteria and planning to go on a road trip somewhere in India in his car with friends. It started turning in to shape when one of our friend “Vikas” agreed to join us and finalized the destination to Goa “Mohali to Goa”. Next day he called up and cancelled his plan due to some work assignment and we were back to same stage of planning. Harish had a passion to cover Leh Ladakh on his bullet which he bought recently for this purpose only but could not plan the trip so far. Finally both of us agreed to go along on one bike 😊

Thought on going on a summer break was up in the mind since June started but could not finalize the destination. On a fine Monday morning 11th June, while going to office after a relaxed weekend spent with family, the idea clicked to go on a road trip and the destination which was calling was “Nepal” Kathmandu and Pokhara. As soon as reached office started exploring blogs on “road trip to Nepal”. Got motivated after I saw many people have already done this trip. What else was required? Is the family in for this trip? Does my car ok for the trip? Called Pooja and have an agreement to start our Journey next morning and that was quick. Later in evening got the car checked up for the trip, kept extra engine oil.

It was huge and the greenery and quite was peacful and relaxing. On our way back home we saw a square where on all 4 sides there were shops of famous brands like H&M, Mango, Zara and others if you want to shop. We also saw many performers like people dressed up in different costumes and a lot more. There was also a lady who was making huge bubble and it was a beautiful sight to the eyes and fun to pop them.

Your troubles don’t end once you get the entrance tickets. Because the tickets to the actual boat ride will be issued only at the counters near the lake boating area which is another 2 kms away. From the gates of the sanctuary we left our car and took an auto to reach the boat house(auto drivers queue up at 3 am to book their place at the head of the queue). For the 2 kms, autos charge(robbed would be the right term)200 bucks to the inner gate of the sanctuary. From there, it is a sprint for another 500 metres to the ticket counter. After all these troubles, I just about managed to get the tickets just in the nick of time. I heard from the authorities that to avoid these troubles one can stay at the KTDC Aranya Nivas, inside the sanctuary which provides access to the boat rides.

So the five of us zoomed out of Delhi by a cab on a Saturday morning by 6 am. It is recommended to leave Delhi early morning, else you get stuck in the traffic which will be tiresome. After crossing Meerut, we halted for breakfast as everyone was feeling ravenously hungry. Believe me, nothing meets the taste of Parathas & chai at the roadside dhabas during such trips. We filled our belly and then the journey resumed.
