The Puri Trip

From the very first day in Puri, I was fascinated by each and every part of it and just want my that time to be rewinded. The fun part of Chilka visit consisted of boating ; the activity of which both my Dad and I were afraid. So we just roamed a little , took snaps and sat in the adjoining park while eating chips and feeding crumbs to crows. Also Dad bought 3 crabs weighing one kilo and gave them to the hotel chef to prepare for us. I was looking forward to my dinner that night more than I usually did. :D

The journey to the coastal town of Karaikal, via Nagapattinam was pretty scenic, with the sea giving us the company. The authentic South Indian breakfast served by the small but neat restaurant of Hotel Krishna was perhaps one of the best meals I ever had.

We halted there for about an hour to tank up on fuel, breakfast and water. Soon it was time to move and we headed out to Tanglang La over the Gata Loops, which is a series of 21 hairpin bends, starting at 13780 Ft ASl and in a stretch of 17 kms, take you up by 1500 Ft to 15302 ft ASL.

There were many more scenic places to visit around Dalhousie but for us, it was time to say Bye. We were in the car, climbing down from Dalhousie to Pathankot. Our mind full with the thoughts of Journey but one thing became clear, this beauty is impossible to explain through words so, just a piece of advice for all – Go visit Dalhousie.
