Shoja is surrounded by thickly wooded forests from which one gets a panoramic view of the snow covered Himalayan ranges in the distance. The drive to this hill resort is a pleasure in itself. There are various walking trails from Shoja such as to Waterfall Point and Raghupur Fort meadows. These would take you through forests of Oak and Pine or let you gaze upon the breathtaking view of the Tirthan Valley.
Shoja is accessible by road from Chandigarh, Kullu and Kiratpur Sahib with nearest airports at Chandigarh and Kullu and railway stations at Chandigarh and Kiratpur Sahib.
