Kurukshetra and Karna Lake

By

About Karna Lake, this place is suitable for those who donot want to travel much from Delhi, loves peace and looking for a short break. My suggestion, this place is very good for 2 days and one night kind of itinerary and one will enjoy this place. Take a walk on the well paved path along the lake, it takes approx 30 minutes for one round, enjoy the beauty of the place. Sit near to lake , you will feel very good, this place gives lot of peace, do boating. I must state here that i have never experienced such a wonderful service, ambience, maintainence, food from a government tourist place, the staff is very polite, is ready to help to their level best, every thing on the food menu is availabe which we generally don’t see in hotels run by tourism department.

Food is little expensive but the service, taste and ambience of the restaurant is up to the mark. They also have a well packed bar besides restaurant in case somebody is interested and small gift shop.

We roamed around the lake in the evening, took our dinner and called it a day at 11 pm. Woke up at around 7 am in the morning , took some pics of Karna lake from the balcony, it was looking so awesome. Went for a walk around lake, came back had a break fast of tandoori parantha and puri bhaji.

Sariska Tiger Reserve and Siliserh Lake in Rajasthan

By

So it was decided to do the journey by car as there were lot of things to be done in next 2 days. We all pooled in Rs 2500 / head which is supposed to cover everything. Alto full tank in approx 2200 Rs. Sariska is approx240 kms from Delhi. Packed our woolen clothes and other accessories we started our journey at 6 am on 10th of December 2011. As soon as reached NH8 , we have to face huge traffic of trucks. Now cruising at a speed of 70-80 kms on NH8 we reached Dharuhera, took left from there for state highway of Bhiwadi to Alwar. This SH was great to drive, good smooth road with very less traffic and great views of aravlis.

Trip to Kaudiyala

By

All of us were full of excitement and adventure and thrill, this was an out of the world experience , now thrill doesn’t stop here, our trainer told that before we reach a cliff for cliff jumping we all will jump in river when he will ask to do. As soon as the last rapid came , he asked us to jump and we did, what a thrill……and excitment, chilled water and strong flow of water, but we are holding a rope tied with raft and floated with raft for 2-3 kms.

Everything stablised once we reached for cliff jumping, this was a jump from approx 30 feet height again a great thing to do. Finishing off just stopped before Rishikesh, came out of river , completely exhausted so had lemon water to claim our energies back. Took a local bus to reach Shivpuri where our vehicle was waiting.
