1. Bannerghatta National Park

If you and your children enjoy wildlife, don’t miss out on the Bannerghatta National Park. An hour from Bangalore, this park is a dream come true for kids that love animals. 3. Mysore

Weekend trip? Then you absolutely must go to Mysore. Packed with activities that both parents and kids enjoy, Mysore is the place to be if you have a couple of days to spare. Fantasy Parks have a whole host of rides that enthrall both children and parents. Ramp Slide, Mini Aqua Bowl are popular attractions. If thrilling rides are not your thing, Mysore Zoo offers a better a much better option. All sorts of animals are in the Mysore Zoo. If animals don’t fascinate you, hop on to a toy rain at the Rail Museum or enjoy the vintage locomotives that Mysore has to offer.

Need something quieter? Go to the Karanji Lake where you can enjoy boating and birdwatching and spot ibises, butterflies and black swans.

4. Shivanasamudra Waterfalls

A 3-hour drive from Bangalore will transport you into the magical realm of the Shivanasamudra Waterfalls. Feast your eyes on the Barachukki and Gaganachukki waterfalls. Once your kids are in awe of the sights, you can show them a viewpoint known as Dargah that has a fantastic view. This is a great spot for a picnic or lunches. There is also a temple here that is quite ancient as well as a boating temple near a renowned temple Sri Ranganatha Swamy Temple.
