Hotel Viceroy INN, Dehradun….. Many Surprises

I usually travel a lot and Dehradun is the City, I have visited many times.

Hotel Viceroy Inn is at starting of Town in Delhi road and we used to stay near Rajpur road / old bus stand. Hence, I never thought of trying this hotel. But, this time, i visited Dehradun with my family and decided for this hotel.

We started around 7am from delhi by car and reached Dehradun around 12.30 pm. The booking was made in advance. After checking in, we reached to our room on 2nd floor. The room was fantastic (surprisingly costing Rs. 1500 for double occupancy with complementary Breakfast). Although hotel is situated on a very busy main road, but rooms were quite calm. It was nicely furnished with very comfortable bed.

After taking rest for some time, we ordered our lunch. This was something, not upto the mark. The food was very spicy and extra oily. But roomservice was very very efficient. They tried to help us with some specially prepared food for my 1 year old son.

We had a nice 2 nights stay there and it was very comfortable.

The best part about hotel is :

1. Ample parking space.

2. Customer oriented behaviour of complete staff of hotel

3. Rooms were very nice and quite spacious. The window was facing Mussorie hills and my son spent lot of time near the window.

4. Extremely economically priced hotel. It is hard to find such a good hotel at this price, not only in dehradun but even other cities.

I will definitely like to stay in this hotel again.

This is on main Delhi dehradun road. After you cross new ISBT, come to subji mandi which is just before Guru Ram Rai medical college. You will find the hotel on right side opposite subzi mandi.
