Panchmarhi

Pachmarhi is a beautiful hill station in the evergreen plateau among the Mahadeo Hills of Madhya Pradesh. The sacred site of Mahadeo in Chauragarh, Cave at JataShankar and Pandava Caves make Pachmarhi a pilgrimage destination. The lush green forests here provide ample opportunity for hiking and trekking. Dhoopgarh, the highest point in the Satpura range presents an amazing view of the surrounding ranges with a spectacular view of the sunset to top it.
The Satpura National Park is home to exotic bird and animal species and Government gardens and a museum are other places to visit. The town also presents an old world colonial era look with Red-roofed bungalows and pretty gardens, churches with stained glass windows, and a cantonment area. Pachmarhi is accessible by road from Bhopal, Pipariya and Nagpur with the nearest airport at Bhopal and the nearest railhead at Pipariya.
