A visit to the Golden Coast :- Costa Dorada

The color of gold – soft, warm and sparklingly bright – is prevalent along the shores of the southern part of Catalonia. This beautiful part of the province has rightly been given the name Costa Dorada which means Golden Coast . Costa Dorada is in Mainland Spain and the serving airport is Barcelona. It is well connected by airway as well as roadway but the best option will be by a flight to Barcelona. From Barcelona airport you get loads of options for transfer to the main resorts of costa dorada. The main transfer options are Shuttle(Coach/Bus),Taxi transfer(private taxi) & A Car Hire[you can hire a car by showing & submitting documents for a week or more as per your requiment and on your return you have to submit the car back to the hiring companyand get you stuff back (not to mention you have to pay for the service in euros). Holiday Auto’s are one of the renting companies]

SALOU
Coast Line of Salou
Cambrils to the SW and La Pineda to the NE merge with Salou itself to form one continuous resort some 10 mls long. It’s well kept and tidy, and – as its expansion dates back no further than the early 1980s – most buildings are modern in style. An elegant promenade lined with palm trees displays a monument to Jaime I, the Spanish king who sailed from Salou to conquer theBalearic Islands. Just outside the resort is Port Aventura, a full-blown theme park modelled onBuschGardens in Florida, featuring 5 themed areas (Polynesia, Mexico, China, the Wild West and theMediterranean). The exclusive Beach Club offers watersports, children’s areas and 7 swimming pools, bars, restaurants and leisure facilities. There is also a large, all-year-round water park with a Caribbean theme –Caribe Aquatic Park.

Port Of Salou

Salou is suitable for all age groups, with a wide variety of entertainment. Most popular with middle market families, particularly given the resort’s proximity to Port Aventura theme park. Something to suit everybody. British pubs, pizzerias, burgers, Chinese, Spanish tapas bars and quite a few very classy restaurants. There are very good hotels to stay. But the hotel which i will recommend is Hotel EuroSalou a 4* hotel. The Hotel Eurosalou, which has recently been refurbished, offers a good standard of hotel accommodation and services and is situated in a great location in Salou. The main beach, beach promenade and port area are within easy walking distance. In the immediate vicinity there are plenty of shops, cafes, bars, pubs ; restaurants and the central resort area where you will find even more nightlife is a short walk away. An excellent choice for those looking to be in the heart of Salou. The hotel offers a full day & evening entertainment programme. So you will not get bored for a single minute.
