An informative post, would have been better with photographs of course.

Wildlife brings tourists from around the world. Rajasthan was once famous for its tiger population as described by Colonel Kesri Singh in his books TIGER OF RAJASTHAN and TRYST WITH TIGERS. Tiger hunting attracted hundreds of sportsmen to Rajasthan during the heydays of the Raj. Although tigers are still present in isolated pockets in Rajasthan, their numbers are drastically reduced in Ranthambore (per Valmik Thapar), and completely wiped out in Sariska according to World Woldlife Fund.

A live tiger is priceless, and I hope the Tourist Bureau of Rajasthan will do everything in its power to restore the tiger population in their state.

    with best wishes,
    Jerry
