About Botanix Nature Resort
Botanix Nature Resort is situated in the foothills of Aravalli hills on the edge of Damdama Lake. The park is spread over 40 acres, offer series of theme parks and marvels of nature.
Botanix is a marvellous place to hang out with friends & family members . It’s an ideal place for Picnic & corporate meetings too.
Only pre booked groups are allowed to visit the resort.
Direction
It is around 62 kms from Delhi & 20 kms from Rajiv Chowk , Gurgaon. If you are coming from Delhi take a left turn towards Sohna from Rajiv chowk (exit 10), After 15 kms on Sohna road take left turn towards Damdama. Botanix is situated around 5 kms inside after taking the turn on the right side of the road.
Accommodations
There is a provision of tents, cottages and one or two igloo shaped huts which is something unique for the stay in the resort.The idea of cemented Igloos constructed in the resort is too good as I have seen it first time in my traveling experience .
Our Journey
We have a small club by the name of “Garhwal Doon Club – Gurgaon†. We were planning for our annual get-together, it was a big challenge to decide the place where all can enjoy (kids /ladies & our old parents). After lot of brain storming exercise & research we had decided our venue “Botanix Nature resort†& finalized date was Jan 14 ,2012.
All the members of the club decided to gather near Omaxe wedding mall on Sohna road.We started at 9:30 am from there and proceeded for our predecided destination, Botanix. Once you take a left turn from Sohna road towards Damdama / Botanix you will find the uneven road . The next couple of kms is full of bumpy rides but on the way to the resort you will pass through the village, hills , mustered field which gives you a different experience.
Once we reached there we were welcomed by soft drinks followed by Breakfast. Ladies were looking happy, as to be free from early morning cooking . It was second week of January so served hot puri with cold breeze under the open sky was enjoyable.
Formal family introduction started once we got free from Breakfast.
After that our friends started their adventurous activity ( Uttranchali’s specialist … :-) ). As I am teetotaler so I got the responsibility of taking kids towards the park where adventures activities can be enjoyed .All the ladies also joined us. Small children got busy enjoying Burma bridge, spider’s web , balance walk , commando net etc , the elders started playing cricket , volley ball or Table tennis.
We enjoyed camel ride as well as bulla cart ride. For us Bull cart ride was different experience.
After a lot of activities we all got tired and hungry. We had our buffet lunch which was mouth-watering. Now the time for leg shake, Garhwali music was on and all were on dance floor. Ladies tried some of the folk dances of uttaranchal.
After masti of dance and music, evening tea with snacks was served. By 5 o’clock we all were ready to go back with full of memories which we enjoyed together in hope that we all will meet again the next year some other place with same zeal and zest.
Charges for the Day Excursion
Cost / Person Rs. 990 /- which includes welcome drinks , Two Meals (Break-Fast & Lunch), Evening Tea / Coffee with Cookies, Activities Obstacle Course , camel ride & bulla cart ride. . For DJ , not remembering correctly it was around Rs.10,000/- extra. One can arrange their own Music system like we did.
