Read MoreUnfortunately ‘Teli ka Mandir’ and ‘Saas-Bahu’ temple, both these majestic temples are ‘monuments’ !
How tranquil it would be to hear the entrance bell ringing melodically, to breath in the combined fragrance of flowers and oil lamps and incense sticks, to see the hustle bustle of devoted feet and folded hands, and to submit to the rhythm of ancient chants echoing from the corridors!
My cousin brother had already visited Mandu once, so no one can guide us better than him. He asked us to visit ‘Jaahaj Mahal’ first. This palace has no entry fees. This is a very huge palace and it will take time to roam around. More than roaming, capturing photographs and selfies can take time. So, we all agreed to visit Jaahaj Mahal first. It is a beautiful palace having a small lake and a beautiful garden. This palace is maintained well. The scenic view is very mesmerizing. Sharing some of the pics with my readers.

Read MoreI would suggest taking the upper deck ticket (which is cheaper) instead of lower one, as it gives you a better view with open space. It was approx. one hour ride, which was full of fun and masti, people started dancing on the floor, and kids were enjoying the cruise experience. The view around was extraordinary, and we felt like lost in the sea. Total paisa vasool, one should not miss this in Jabalpur for sure.
Read MoreThere were rock stair cases for tourists, to enjoy the sunset peacefully. Like many others, we also settled down and waited for the right time. It was truly magical to see the whole sunset from here.
Read MoreAfter having good time watching all above, we moved to the left side of the premises, to see if there was anything left. And there found a small handicraft shop, a tiny farm where white pigeons, rabbits and ducks are being kept and an astonishing view point, from where we could see whole of Sanchi’s wheat fields. It was completely mesmerizing.

Read MoreThe road stretch from Lalitpur to MP border will unhinge your joints. You cross into Ashoknagar district of MP over the downstream water channel of the Rajghat Dam. In rains water flows over the causeway. The landscape turns pretty with Vindhyachal hills and intermittent lakes making their entry. The early rains have made the hills lush with greenery. The beauty was enough for Babur to go ga-ga in his memoirs Babur Nama. The road after crossing into MP is a breeze and soon you see signs of the local Municipal Corporation welcoming you to the historic city of Chanderi. You are surprised to find the town clean with good roads and amazing signs for the tourists. Just looking at the densely packed attractions on the map confirms that Chanderi indeed is brimming with all kinds of monuments – tombs, mosques, gateways, palaces, temples and innumerable baolis.
Read MoreIt is hard to think that why these marvel of architectures are build here in complete isolation? There is nothing of significant interest or beauty to recommend Khajuraho as a building site and also there is no big population so some big fort nearby. Whatever be the answer the truth is that this isolated location helped preserve it from the vandalism of Muslim invaders. Due to the threat of Afghan invaders, Chandela kings forsook Khajuraho for their forts. Also all the religious activities were abandoned so that this should be kept away from the eyes of invaders. With the passing time forest covered this entire region.
Read MoreOne of the practical benefits that I enjoy most working in News Channel is the man-power available at every nook and corner of the country and that too is very resourceful. Bottom line is that resort as well safari was completely free. Rajasthan has best tourist facility to explore national parks. Solo traveler like me can book his own ticket only and he will get accommodated with others without any pain. But here in Panna one need to hire a complete Gypsy that charges around 3600 for a safari. The same situation is with Kanha that I visited later in this month. With little delay we started our journey at 6:30.
