Dear Friends,

After long duration of two months , I am coming here in ghumakkar with my Rajasthan Yatra done in 2012 – 2013. After my heavy trip with Sandeep Jatdevta to three jyotirlings and four treks in October – November 2012 , I traveled with my family in  December – January 2013 to one of the most remembered and beautiful states of India called the Great Rajasthan. The effort by me is just a minute glimpse to what real Rajasthan is . For looking at the real beauty of it one needs to go there.

First there were two options to go to Udaipur circuit , where we could cover Udaipur , Chittaurgarh , Nathdwara  and Mount Abu and second one was Jaipur Circuit  where we could cover Ajmer, Pushkar and Jaipur. Ultimately by discussions Jaipur circuit was decided due to less time available.

Starting with my travelogue, I and my wife  Sonali like to travel by Indian Railways even though it is a bit time consuming , because traveling by trains only make us feel like pure vagabonding  and real ghumakkari. One gets to know to real feel and genuine culture of the place when he does travel via ground. But this time due to shortage of time and Sonali’s whole family (Group of Seven) with us , we decided to go via flight. Any ways this was my daughter’s Aarya’s first experience on flight. So we were damn excited about that . Our plane was scheduled to leave at 5.20 AM from Mumbai . So we left for airport at 3.00 AM. By 3.45 PM we reached Chhatrapati Shivaji Airport , Mumbai’s Domestic Airport. I took some pictures of this wonderful huge terminal.

15th August 2012 – 04:30 am – Rakshak Chowk, Pune

Life is a gamble. You can get hurt, but people die in plane crashes, lose their arms and legs in car accidents; people die every day. Same with fighters: some die, some get hurt, some go on. You just don’t let yourself believe it will happen to you…!!! Muhammad Ali

This is what we believed in and what we told to all our relatives when we started for this ride.

It was not raining, which was anyways a heartening thing for all of us. I left my house at 4:00 am sharp, the thump and the roar of my Royal Enfield on the 15th August morning 4:00 am made most of the guards run towards the parking to see what had happened. They could not dream of someone leaving from the parking at 4:00 am on 15th August – a national Holiday … But I was ready to take the journey. I reached Rakshak Chowk and saw 3 bikes parked opposite the tanks at Rakshak Chowk. I was happy that I was not the last to reach. I had done a small shopping the previous evening for everyone. Being an Independence Day ride, I bought 10 India flags which we may tape on our rear view mirror and it would look awesome. I carried the tape with me to fix it properly on all bikes to endure the wind and the water and be with us till the end of the ride.

4:45 am – Rakshak Chowk – 10 bikes were vrooming at Rakshak Chowk … we had got 2 additions …
Udyan like the old sailor had come to bid us adieu and Abhijit, one of our riders in Brzzz … who hails from Vadodara and planned to ride home on this break with us till his hometown.
So let me introduce you to the 8 bikes and 9 riders for the Ride to Rajasthan, it is very important to introduce the protagonists, or I call the Lead role players of this movie:

Although Water kingdom in Mumbai is colorful and photos come really good. But to have a real feel of amusement and ecstasy one has to see the videos of the Asia’s largest Water Park.   

Dear Soul Mates,

October month is the month of celebrations at my place. Many festive occasions comes this month Navaratri, Dusshera and many times Diwali also. Many food items are made along with lot of decoration at my place. Lot of prayers and poojas along with fasts are performed this month. The whole atmosphere is in the mood of celebrations and each new morning in October is ready for a fresh beginning.  Also we have made it a point that we will always be happy whatever may be the situation this month.

पिछली पोस्ट में मैंने आपको मुंबई के फ़िल्मी सितारों के घर, मुक्तेश्वर महादेव मंदिर, जुहू स्थित इस्कॉन मंदिर,  तथा सिद्धिविनायक मंदिर के बारे में बताया था. अब आज की यह पोस्ट इस मुंबई टूर सिरीज़ की अंतिम पोस्ट है जिसमें मैं आपको बाबुलनाथ महादेव मंदिर, तारापुरवाला एक्वेरियम, एंटीलिया, ताज महल होटल एवं गेट वे ऑफ़ इंडिया लेकर चलता हूँ.

मैंने मुंबई में एक चीज देखी की यहाँ की भागमभाग भरी ज़िन्दगी में लोग कई बार खाने को भी नज़र अंदाज़ कर देते हैं और शायद इसी वजह से मुंबई में फास्ट फ़ूड का चलन बहुत ज्यादा है. फास्ट फ़ूड भी मुंबई के लोगों ने अपनी आवश्यकता एवं रूचि के अनुरूप विकसित कर लिए हैं जैसे हेमबर्गर,पिज़्ज़ा और हॉट डॉग के बजाय यहाँ एक बड़ा वर्ग वडापाव, सेव पूरी, भेल पूरी, पाव भाजी आदि खाना पसंद करते हैं. मैंने तो महसूस किया की मुंबई में लोगों को रोटी बनाने और खाने की फुर्सत ही नहीं है, आधी मुंबई वडा पाव खा कर जिंदा रहती है. मुझे लगता है मुंबई की बेकरियां ही इस शहर की अन्नदाता हैं.

20 मार्च 2012 मंगलवार शाम करीब 5 बजे  कर्नाटक के कुमता से हमारी मुंबई के लिए ट्रेन थी मेंगलोर मुंबई SF एक्सप्रेस जिसने हमें सुबह लगभग 6 बजे मुंबई पहुंचा दिया.

जय महालक्ष्मी माँ

पिछली पोस्ट में मैंने आपको बताया था की किस तरह से हम सुबह से महालक्ष्मी मंदिर के दर्शनों के लिए निकले थे और गुडी पड़वा का त्यौहार होने की वजह से अत्यंत भीड़ थी और हमने हाजी अली दरगाह की ओर रुख कर लिया था. अगले दिन फिर सुबह से हम सब तैयार होकर निकल पड़े महालक्ष्मी देवी के दर्शन के लिए.

सुबह का समय था और आज अपेक्षाकृत भीड़ भी बहुत कम थी अतः हमें मंदिर में पहुँचने तथा दर्शन में बहुत कम समय लगा. मंदिर बहुत ही सुन्दर है, एक बात मंदिर परिसर की जो मुझे बहुत अच्छी लगी वो थी मंदिर परिसर में सभामंड़प के ठीक सामने बैठकर दो तीन लोग शहनाई पर बड़ी अच्छी धुन बजा रहे थे, इतना सुन्दर संगीत की बस सुनते ही रहने का मन कर रहा था.

साथियों, इस श्रंखला की पिछली कड़ी में मैंने आपको अपनी मुंबई यात्रा की शुरुआत और मुंबई की जीवन रेखा कही जाने वाली मुंबई लोकल ट्रेन्स के बारे में बताया था, और अब आपको लिए चलता हूँ मुंबई के कुछ चुनिन्दा पर्यटन स्थलों की ओर. मुंबई वैसे तो पर्यटन की द्रष्टि से इतना समृद्ध है की इसे इत्मिनान से निहारने के लिए कम से कम दस से बारह दिन का समय तो चाहिए ही लेकिन हमारे पास समय कम होने की वजह से मेरे मित्र विशाल ने हमारे घुमने के लिए कुछ ख़ास जगहों को चुन कर रखा था. वैसे विशाल ने इस मामले में मुझसे हमारी मर्जी भी जननी चाही थी, सो मैंने बचपन से मुंबई की जिन टूरिस्ट जगहों का नाम सुन रखा था उनमें से कुछ को देखने की इच्छा प्रकट की और इन्ही में से एक जगह थी हाजी अली की दरगाह.
