A Fun Filled Day At – SPLASH WATER PARK – Delhi

July 28, 2010 By:

This plan all started with a birthday treat.  It was my friend’s birthday, and surely we were all happy, hoping that we will surely get a treat.  Every time, it was the same old boring story going in a hotel and just a dinner.  But this time, we wanted to do something different. One of us came up with the plan to enjoy in a water park mainly because we wanted to beat the Delhi Heat.  The first destination that came to our minds was Fun N Food Village, but having visited it earlier,  this time we thought why not Splash Water Park.  We took a leave from our office, and then four of us planned the visit to this park.  Actually it is the only water park in North Delhi .

Splash Water Park  is located on the GT Karnal road – NH-1 . It is near Palla Mode, Alipur, Delhi. We were four in my car.  We crossed the Bypass and turned left towards NH-1.  From Bypass it is around 10-12 Km.  After reaching there, we found that this water park in delhi was not as big as Fun N Food Village, Gurgaon, but still a quite decent one.  Splash is a unit of Sagu Dreamland Pvt. Ltd. It is really a very good amusement park nestled in natural beauty with a backdrop of cooling shelter of trees.

nice spot to chill in the heat of summer

The Splash Water Park Delhi ticket price was also cheap. It was Rs 350 per person (only for rides ) on weekdays.  But we opted for the Rs 700 Ticket ( lunch , breakfast) also included. It has an ample parking space. When we entered, there were around 200 school students who were enjoying their picnic.  But now it was our turn.  There are two other branches of Splash Water park –
1. Joy Land – Which is at Shastra Dhara, Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
2. Splash Fun Park – Which is at NH-65 at Barwala Road, Hisar

variety of slides

There are two sides in the Park. First we went to one side, where there was a swimming pool and a few other slides.  Here there was also a Hall for Lunch.  First we enjoyed a lot swimming in the pool for about one hour.  In this water park, there is also a very big hotel named Retreat.  One can also book rooms if they want to stay there.

Then we went to the other side of the park.  This side has a few rides which are mainly enjoyed only by small children. This side has many slides.  It also has a Lazy River.  The rides include –

1. Sky Train
2. Mini Columbus
3. Striking Car
4. Cup Plate
5. Mini Train
6. Break Dance
7. Carousel
8. Revolving Tower

    Hi Sahil,

Thanks for updating on this water park, about which I have been hearing but was never able to visit actually.

Is it open to stags ? Does that affect a family team?

Good post on something which is there in our backyard, but we don’t know about.

  6. Sahil says:

Thanks Mr. Aurojit for your appreciation.

Yes, it is open for stags and the ticket for single male stag is Rs 500 per person all 7 days , and surely it doesn’t affect any family.

    Hi Sahil,

I was planning a trip to water park. But am confused between Fun N Food Village & Splash.

After reading your post it seems that Fun N Food Village may be a better option.
