Dewas city, situated in the Malwa region of Madhya Pradesh, abounds in natural beauty and places of historical interest.
The unique Kavadiya Hills are a must see, consisting of geometrically shaped rocks that appear to be man-made but are in fact the result of volcanic eruption. Meetha Talab, spectacular waterfall and green valley at Gidya Khoh and Waterfall created by the River Narmada at Dharaji are some of Nature’s wonders to be visited in Dewas. Khudel Devta in the Tribal area is been the place where tribes gather from ancient times to pay homage to their deities during full moon and new moon. Khivni Sanctuary is a good place for wildlife lovers to visit.
Dewas has a long list of holy places. On Tekri Hill and Chamunda Hill are the Tekri Bada Mata Mandir, Tekri Choti mata mandir, Bhairav Temple, Shakti Peeth of Nath Yogis, Hanuman Temple and Kali Temple.
