Baramulla

Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir is a paradise for tourists. The most famous of tourist spots in Baramulla is Gulmarg hill station, “the meadow of flowers”. It is popular for its skiing slopes. The mesmerising beauty of Tangmarg, Wular Lake, and Manasbal Lake prove to be a heavenly experience. Manimarg; Vijimarg and Mahalishamarg would be great places to visit for bird watching enthusiasts.
In the middle of the Jhelum River is an island where Khadniyar Eco Park has been developed. Approached by a wooden bridge, it offers a great view with mountains in the background, Jhelum River flowing along the island and lush green well-maintained gardens with some beautifully designed wooden huts.
