We were in the deep jungle. No sign of human beings. Only sound of birds and water. I had never seen such a quiet place in my life. We were going like early men in search of cave so that we could get shelter from this alien environment. Rain, green forest, foggy mountains, wet soil, slippery railway tracks and we 5 nomads. Surprisingly we found our shelter. It was not a cave but a Tunnel.
We had seen “Tunnel 1” after walking for 1.5 kms. It is said that 5 to 6 tunnels are there till Dhudhsagar waterfall. It was long and dark tunnel. Water was slowly coming down from the walls of tunnel. After walking half kilometer more we got tired and thought of doing some rest. We sat on the railway tracks and opened our Signature bottle. Suddenly it started raining heavily and we did not have any choice except enjoying our drinks in rain and forest.
We planned to go Candolem Beach, which is one among the famous beaches of Goa. But at 6 pm in the evening we found ourselves in Madgaon City and then on a less known beach called ‘Balolem Beach’. So after Palolem Beach this time we were at Balolem Beach. Hopefully next time we will be able to see Condolem Beach. Like our earlier trip of Nirvana Beach, this time also we had not did any booking but this time also were lucky and found nice shacks just 200 meters from the beach. Owner of the resort was a lady who had given us the possession of the Kitchen, fridge and all other things. She left after an hour and had given us full freedom of using her kitchen and other things. Just one resort staff member was there. He was a young boy who was there to take care of foreigners and may be for assisting us.
We had collected big sticks for cooking our “Wild Maggie” and ate it with the help of small sticks which we collected from the nearby area, because we had not carried spoons with us. It was really amazing and thrilling experience of eating Maggie in the forest surrounded by mountains in night. It was a full moon night and we saw many twinkling stars in the sky.
