It was 11.00 a.m on a cool Sunday morning and i was trying not to get out of the bed on the only off day i had during the week. Soon, Adhiraaj woke up and we resumed our ‘What to do’ discussion from the previous night. It was almost a year and a half for both of us, living in Noida and apart from visiting Chandani Chowk ( Prantha Wali Gali), we didn’t go to any other place. We reached haridwar around 4.00 a.m and went to the Bus Stand to inquire about the bus for Joshimath / Badrinath because we wanted to reach Gobindghat by end of the day (2 Sep 2010). And there we were, no counters, no information, so we inquired from the locals and they directed us to the office of a travel agency G.M.O.U Ltd. We took their bus leaving for badrinath at 5.00 a.m and bought tickets till Gobindghat which comes 23 kms before badrinath.

It was just another busy week at the office and after much anticipation Sunday arrived. Movie session on Saturday night did the trick and we woke up late on Sunday Morning. So we abandoned our plan to visit the Lotus Temple in the morning and  decided to go to Humayun’s Tomb first….

I entered the ‘Spiti Valley – The Middle Land’ realizing that i have lost all the contact with the world outside. If everything goes according to the plan, it would be after 3 days i.e. on 7th Oct evening when I’ll get the network back upon reaching Manali. But for now let me enjoy the beauty of the Spiti Valley for the final 27 kms left to cover from Sumdo to Tabo. As the valley now divided into two parts ‘Light & Shade’ looked magnificent in the setting sun….
