Continuing from where i left last week, i along with Adhiraaj made a visit to Purana Qila. Purana Qila is situated on the Mathura road, adjacent to the National Zoological Park. The plan was to explore the fort and then seeing the Light and the Sound program later in the evening. So, we bought the entrance ticket (Rs. 5/-) and entered of what once was ‘The Sixth City of Delhi’….

Light and Sound Show – Ishq-e-dilli

It took us an hour or so to cover the monument, not massive though as all of it is in the ruins except the Qila-i-Kuhna Mosque, the only building which is well preserved. It was around 5.00 pm when we came out or the slight drizzle which forced us to. The Light and sound show was scheduled for 6.30pm start but rain threat was looming large as it would have been cancelled then. So we went to the canteen outside and waited as they would start giving the tickets only half an hour before the show i.e 6.00 pm. Well, i was praying for the drizzle to stop and luckily it did. We went to the ticket counter again and bought the tickets (Rs. 80/-) for the show ‘ Ishq-e-dilli’….

The show begins...

Hello Good posting. I liked all the pictures, specially the lighted ones. But, are you sure, the very first picture is from 1538??? I doubt the same, for obvious reasons :)

    Keep posting,

      Thanks Hemanth… :)

The 1st pic is not from 1538. It’s just that i shot the pic in black and white and labeled it as back in 1538, the black and white era.
