  1. Omkareshwar – Abode of Lord Shiva
  2. Omkareshwar Parikrama
  3. Mahakaleshwar – Ujjain
  4. Dewas

Finally we were on our last destination, Dewas .We catched Avantika Express from Ujjain at 7.30 am which reaches after 35 mins Dewas station.

Let me tell you something about Dewas. The name Dewas is derived from the Devi Vaishini hill in the city, commonly known as Tekri. The hill has a temple of deity Devi Chamunda tulja bhavani and Kalika Matha. The word Dewas is also believed to be a sandhi of words Dev (deity) and Vas (Marathi for abode), thus Dewas means abode of the deity or god.
Also at the bottom of the hill (also called ‘Tekri’) there is Ashram of Shri Vishnu Tirth Maharaj. Ashram is also known with the name ‘NARAYAN KUTI’.

After reaching station we caught rickshaw to the Tekri from where we had to climb. The Tekri can be climbed by two ways one through steps and another through slope. We took the slope way which was more lengthy but easier to climb.

In the south of the tekri is the temple of Tulja (Elder ) Mata. According to historians it is contemporary to the temple of Chamunda Mata. In the temple is the half statue(upper portion) of the Goddess Tulja. Goddess Tulja and Chamunda are both sisters.

Then after having darshan we have to do parikrama to reach Chamunda Mata ( Chhoti Mata).

Finally we reached bottom of the temple completing the parikrama. We then headed for Shri Kela Devi Temple Which is 3 km away from the tekri in a rickshaw

This is a must watch temple for its art sculpture and especially painting.

SHRI KELA DEVI: “KELA DEVI” temple is the biggest one in M.P. Originally the Kela Devi temple is situated in Karoli at Rajasthan. At Dewas Kela devi temple is situated at Mishri Lal Nagar (Agra Bombay Road). Its white marble gate is one of the attractive part of the temple which is built by South Indian artists.Every year during Chaitra Navaratri a big Mela (exhibition) is held which is also a part of attraction for all the disciples.

And after having Darshan we again headed for Ujjain in the train.

In the evening we again had darshan of Mahakaleshwar and Harsiddhi Mata.
There are two very big Deepa stambhas which are lit on special occasions like Navratri, in the Harsddhi Mata temple campus. And see My fortune On Sunday this two stambhas were lit. The whole experience was overwhelming and I was thrilled with joy looking those 2 stambhas lit .
