Thanks Manish, for your comments. You are so right about travels that feel like we went to them only a few months back! The photographs are a reminders and reminiscing about them bring back great memories. Looking forward to reading your posts too on past travels.

Beautifully written Geetha.

When I saw the title, I thought that the post will end as soon as we will reach Singapore. Luckily it didn't :)

You don't seem to be disappointed by your first view of the aeroplane. I was. I found that sitting in a plane is same as sitting in a bus(much below my expectation). Then there are pains in ears, due to pressure differences. Less space to put luggage and so on ...

Voice of captain is most of the time so unclear that its difficult to decipher that what he is speaking :)

Singapore : Very well described, the public transport, first time feel that travelling can be so easy in Metro, Jurong bird park and Zoological park. I am sure that your face-to-face encounter with Kangroo must be very exciting.

Looking forward to your post on Sentosa. One day I would be writing about my travels that I did few years back (May be even more than seven). When I think about the number of years that had passed when I last visited a particular place, it only gives the feeling that time passes so soon. Some of those places I can recall as if I visited there a few months back.

You seem to feel the same. Apart from the first line that it was seven years back ... rest all looks as if you are talking about a travel that you did a few months back.

Thankyou sooooo much... Smita, Nandan and Ram uncle. Your comments give me inspiration and happiness. I appreciate them more because I admire the way you write too. I find Nandan's capacity to infuse wit and humour in everything fascinating. Even the information (second in the menu ) in ghumakkar is captivating read which in any other site would be plain questions and answers. About Ram uncle's story-gems everyone knows.
I have started writing about Sentosa too. You are right Nandan... I wish cleanliness was contagious. Keeping public property clean has to be a part of the people's psyche. Only then will the government's cleanliness drives be of any use.
The other day seeing a well dressed pedestrian littering the road we were reminded of a public notice commercial that runs in Cinema theatres in Mumbai. A family goes out for a picnic and litters parks, beaches and roads all through the day... when they come back home they find that every single thing they did throw was strewn in their own living room! Will that teach people a lesson?
